December 2011: more moves than a drunken office party conga
So, who’s got an early Christmas present this year?
Keeping up with the Dow Jones’
Morgan Lewis, ‘#1 Most Active Law Firm’ in the 2011 Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst rankings, has been busy this month with another addition to its growing private funds practice. Noel Ainsworth, currently a partner at Simmons & Simmons and one of the UK’s leading private funds lawyers, will soon be joining the US firm to help expand its European offering.
Polly’s got a cracker
Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) corporate insurance partner Pollyanna Deane has accepted a cracker of a new role at art-loving law firm Simmons & Simmons. Ms Deane, who has been with BLP for five years, will be joining Simmons’ corporate and commercial practice in January to enhance the firm’s insurance practice division.
Into the frying Pan-none
Regional law firm Pannone, based in Manchester, has been cultivating its new London office with the addition of corporate partner Catherine McLoughlin. Ms McLoughlin, who joins from US firm Wilmer Hale, will be using her experience in corporate finance, M&A and private equity to help expand the ‘energetic’ firm’s serious injury and corporate divisions in the capital.
