Good hiring, Vietnam

Allen & Overy has scooped former Mayer Brown partner Dao Nguyen. Ms Nguyen, whose clients include the Government of Vietnam and foreign investors, will help the firm launch new offices in Vietnam later this year.

French Birds

Former Dewey & LeBoeuf partner Stephen Walters has found a new nest at Bird & Bird’s Paris office. Mr Walters, whose speciality is cross-border mergers and acquisitions, is the firm’s eighth new partner for the corporate group this year.

Shoo-ins

Shoosmiths has hired three new partners. The trio – former Clarke Willmott partner Paul Knight, Wragges director Patrick Garner and Nabarro senior associate Nathan Rees – will join the leadership of the firm’s property and construction teams.

If all this has got you thinking about that next move, see what’s on offer at Professionals in Law. KM
