Strictly’s back. But who, legal-wise, has been cha-cha-changing firms?
Music to Bakers’ ears
Baker & McKenzie has added another string to its bow this month with the hire of Ingo Strauss in Dusseldorf. Herr Strauss, who has waltzed away from German firm Hengeler Mueller, is expected to be instrumental to Baker’s Corporate and M&A business.
Anything you can do…
Not to be outdone, Simmons & Simmons has added to its own corporate practice in Dusseldorf with the addition of new partner Helmut Kempf. Like Herr Strauss, Herr Kempf also has extensive experience within the M&A field but will also be boosting the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice.
Singing like a bird
Back in Blighty, SNR Denton has hired Jay Doraisamy. Ms Doraisamy, who we rather hope is known as Jay-D to her friends, was previously head of the London Pensions team at Eversheds.
Trowers gets its Guy
Trowers & Hamlins has appointed property litigator Guy Willetts. Mr Willets was once recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Individual in the East Midlands, presumably following in the footsteps of Mark Morrison (Leicester), Geoff Hoon (Derby) and Harold Shipman (Nottingham).
