Hancock rockets back to Simmons

Persistence has paid off this month for Simmons & Simmons, who’ve convinced former partner Helen Hancock to return to the firm. Ms Hancock, who specialises in corporate banking, and property, project and acquisition finance, will be joining the fledgling Bristol office from Burges Salmon.

Dolly: Working Nine To Five at A&O

Allen & Overy has acquired not just one but two energy and infrastructure partners from Freshfields. Kent Rowey, former head of Freshfields’ Americas E&I practice, and Dolly Mirchandani, a partner, will help build A&O’s energy and infrastructure team in New York.

In you go, Ingo

Corporate acquisitions specialist Ingo Meyer has joined Bird & Bird’s Frankfurt office, the tenth new partner to flock to the firm’s international corporate group this year. And he’s not alone, bringing two of his team with him: Stefan Alexander Breider and Diana Dickert. Mr Meyer will use his expertise of private and public companies in the energy and utilities, telecommunications and healthcare sectors to help develop the firm’s offering.

OC’s Fullelove

Romance is blossoming at Osborne Clarke this month after the hire of international arbitration specialist Greg Fullelove. Mr Fullelove, who joins from Freshfields, will help strengthen the dispute resolution team and, being fluent in Spanish, will also provide arbitration support to OC’s continental colleagues.
