The top brass at Allen & Overy must be feeling pleased as punch (or should that be Budvar?) this week after winning yet more recognition for the firm’s banking and finance services at the Czech Law Firm of the Year awards.

These aren’t just any old law awards. These awards are organised under the auspices of Petr Nečas, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, no less, and Pavel Blažek, Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic, and the Czech Bar Association.

On their success, A&O’s Head of Finance Practice in Prague, Václav Valvoda, said:

‘We are honoured to have won the Banking and Finance category. For us to receive such an award is a great success and proof that our clients are satisfied with our services.’

The good news for A&O doesn’t stop there. Less than a month ago, A&O colleagues in Frankfurt were celebrating too, no doubt with a few jars of Becks, after winning Law Firm of the Year, Employment Law Firm of the Year and Insurance Law Firm of the Year at legal publishing house JUVE’s awards.

Dr Neil George Weiand, senior partner of the firm in Germany commented:

‘We are very excited to have received these awards [and] we will continue to broaden our range of services in line with the needs of our clients.’
