Goldman Sachs, BT and Disney advertise in-conceivably in-viting in-house roles

There are some in-house vacancies that just don’t get the pulse racing. (Senior Counsel for Mole Valley Valves, anyone?) On the other hand, some are just so stupefying attractive that even the most faithful firmer might give them a sideways look. These, ladies and gents, are those superlative vacancies.

To begin with, Goldman Sachs is after a Derivatives Lawyer with 5-6 years’ PQE. Goldman Sachs is well-known for being one of the world’s leading investment banks, and hiring ‘people with a passion for excellence, a belief in the power of the team, integrity and leadership’. Not only that, but 6000 UK staff this year got an average bonus of £250K, so it’s probably a good place to hang out if you’re looking for a new girl/boyfriend.

A Senior Commercial Lawyer is required by ‘BT – Vision and Third Party Projects’. Again, it’s a pretty flashy role that will involve negotiations with studios and ‘content providers’, which is a job title that did not exist when the epilogue was at school. One of BT Vision’s on-demand channels is called Adult Swim.

Finally, if all this sounds a bit too dreary for you, why not apply to Disney? They’re currently in the market for a Commercial Contract Lawyer (which, curiously, is itself a 12 month contract). Benefits include your own pair of plastic ears, a VW Beetle as a company car and cryogenetic services for you and your entire family. Probably.

Apply for these and other vacancies on that powerhouse of ambition, Professionals in Law. AB
