In-house vacancies that’ll make your heart beat that little bit quicker

In-house vacancies are really happening right now. So much so, we understand that the aging bad-boy combo East 17 are threatening to re-record their 1992 classic House of Love with slightly different lyrics, celebrating all the great jobs springing up outside of the evils of private practice. That’ll be the Christmas Number One, sans doute.

Firstly, Bloomberg is looking for a Corporate Technology Counsel with a minimum of three years’ PQE in commercial contracts. This job is based in London. Background notes: Founder and outgoing New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is apparently worth $31 billion, and according to Wikipedia is top of the waiting list for an AW609 tiltrotor aircraft.

Over at Apple, the call has gone out for an Employment Attorney. This role is also based in London, and for this you’ll need at least two years’ PQE. Background notes: A 2010 survey of Apple design maestro Jony Ive revealed that he hadn’t changed his shirt in a decade.

Finally, Thomson Reuters is looking for a Commercial/IP lawyer (again, London-based; again, from two years’ PQE). Background notes: According to their listing, if you join Thomson Reuters then you’ll be working ‘for a global corporation which drives the innovation lifecycle around the world.’ The epilogue used to drive an innovation cycle, but wrapped it around a lamppost while swerving to avoid a C5.
